Dark Outside

Once upon a time, not so long ago, a valley dominated by the most gracious magical beings, existed. There were different types of creatures. Some made the tallest trees grow. Others helped to ease the course of the river. Some remained vigilant for the safety of others during the dark nights.
They all lived together, and some humans had been very lucky to see or even get to know any of them.
But time passed. Man became more foolish and selfish and began to destroy forests, forcing the creatures to hide. Their good souls began to break. Many fled into exile. But, some, brave, remained in the forests helping to repopulate them and taking care of those who stayed.
Even so, these beings will rarely be seen by a human now. They do not fear us, but it will be difficult for us to regain their trust.
